Elite Team Roster
Lynn, our sprinter, is a native of Guyana S.A and now resides in Brooklyn. He is the 2005 and 2006 Antigua & Barbuda National Champion. Among our most accomplished racers, Lynn has attended multiple CAC Games, the Pan American Games, the Commonwealth Games, and the World Championship B race. He has also participated in multiple Caribbean Championships and won the Tortola BVI Championship in 2012. Lynn is married and has two teenage children. He currently works at Ride Brooklyn Bike Board and Skate Shop.
Tony is our main man and leader on the road. He is a former Junior and Senior National Champion of Jamaica. He has traveled and raced internationally, including many countries in Central America and the Caribbean. Tony, who currently lives in Brooklyn, is also a former U.S. National Masters Champion and multiple medalist. In addition to a long list of victories, Tony has been a bike storeowner, and currently owns Heart Beat Sports, a business that specializes in bike fitting and coaching. Tony has a B.S degree in Business and is now concentrating on completing a B.S. in Cost Accounting.
David is the real deal. He has ridden stints on both the Junior and Espoir U.S National Teams. David has raced the Australian track season and for a Belgian road team. In 2005, he raced two of the UIV Cup races in Germany and competed in the prestigious Paris-Roubaix Espoir World Cup with the United States Espoir National Team. He returned to the U.S. the next year and raced with the Sakonnet Technology Cycling Team and the following season with the Nerac Professional Cycling Team. 2008 saw David make the jump to the Elite European racing scene when he signed with the Yawadoo-ABM-TV Vlaanderen Cycling Team. Between his time in Europe, David earned his Bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and won a Collegiate National Championship medal. He is currently completing his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
Chris is our newest addition to the 2013 Dave Jordan Racing Elite Team, and has been turning heads since the first race of the season. He grew up in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY and has recently moved to Bayonne, NJ. He currently works as a central operations specialist at Credit Suisse Securities in NYC, and is attending school to become a nurse. Before becoming a bike racer, Chris was a runner and triathlete. When not riding, he often plays hockey, snowboards and enjoys just about anything outdoors with his equally active girlfriend, Kayla. If it has danger and excitement, count him in!
Alan is a licensed USCF coach and coaches our Development and Women’s Teams. He is the full package: Alan has raced cyclocross all over New England and is also Category 2 on the track. His racing accomplishments including being the New York State Points Champion on the track and winning the Empire State Games time trial qualifier. Alan’s wife, Sandy, and their seven year-old Yorkie, Rocky, are always ready to cheer and support him and the Dave Jordan Racing Team. Alan and his family live on Long Island and he works in the Home and Car Audio Industry.
Colin, another one of our big finishers, is a lifetime cycling enthusiast who began racing after completing a successful collegiate rowing career. He is a native of Pennsylvania and moved to New York City to begin medical school. He quickly made the most of the city’s wonderful cycling community and achieved his greatest successes on the track, where he competed in the well-known World Series of Cycling at Lehigh Valley Velodrome as well as our local Kissena Velodrome in Queens. His palmares include multiple State Championships and two Elite National Championship medals. Currently, Colin is completing his residency training to become an ophthalmologist.
Lance is the team’s general manager and a former CRCA 40+ time trial champion. He is a native of Portland, OR, and currently teaches 8th grade Humanities at Tompkins Square Middle School, a public school in the East Village that he helped found in 2001. He is an avid telemark skier and has been bike racing, running and coaching for thirty years. He is married to fellow teammate, Jamie Nicholson. Their thirteen year-old daughter, Jesse, is a figure skater, soccer player, skier and dancer. They live on the Upper West Side.
John has been racing for twenty-three years, and is the consummate team player. He is also capable of pulling off the win, which he consistently does each season. He got started in bike racing as a means of losing weight. John is one of the original members of the team. He lives on Staten Island and has worked in the field of radiology for nearly two decades. He presently works at the NYU Langone Medical Center in Manhattan. In his spare time off the bike, John likes to read about history and enjoys the outdoors.
